In parallel with all the campsite activities, in the kids’ club, environmental education activities are planned so that your stay at our mountain nature campsite is an opportunity for a true introduction to ecology, a fun discovery of nature, and the creation of a strong bond with the Hautes-Alpes nature: gold panning, Land Art, recycled paper making, scientific discoveries… The playground is made of untreated wood.

2017: Illustrator and author Anne-Catherine de Boel is the special guest at Le Petit Liou!

At the initiative of Le Petit Liou and within the framework of the national partnership between Sites & Paysages and the “Partir en Livre” festival, illustrator and author Anne-Catherine de Boel agreed to participate in several meetings with young children from the region and to lead a fresco creation workshop with the campsite’s children. For 3 days, the children sketched to color 3 large frescoes on the theme of birds, fish, and insects. A wonderful reading session was led by Marie-Paul from the Lire et Faire Lire association. The Campsite associated R.E.S.P.E.C.T.S. with the three events scheduled in Baratier, Embrun, and Gap: on July 26, a meeting and book signing with the author at the Charabia bookstore in Embrun, and on July 29 at the La Loupiote bookstore in Gap.

2016: A great reward, the 2016 Corporate Citizenship Trophy

In 2016, Le Petit Liou received the Business Trophy awarded by the Hautes-Alpes Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), in the “Citizen and Responsible Company” category. The campsite was selected and rewarded for its involvement in a constructive environmental approach, particularly for its Ecolodge project.

2012: An ecolodge project made in Le Petit Liou

Born from our imagination and designed by Yasmine and Franck, the Ecolodge, unusual accommodation for rent near Lake Serre-Ponçon, is the realization of a dream. The project consisted of building a rental that met high environmental standards, offering a simple aesthetic integrated into the landscape, while remaining financially accessible for as many campers as possible. It was manufactured in cooperation with the local company Tao, based in Embrun. The ecolodge is designed with natural and durable materials: straw, wood, green roof. The ecolodge offers astonishing thermal performance: very good insulation with 15 cm of straw. Particular care was taken in its design to offer users an unforgettable experience, closer to nature, with large openings to the landscape.
